Sometimes you find yourself alone, but sometimes you have a phone. The amount of comfort received from the phone depends entirely on who is on the other end of the phone. Because a phone is just a piece of fancy metal, of which provides no moral support of loving comfort. The person on the other end of the fancy piece of metal is the source of relief.
What did we do when we didn’t have phones? When we were alone and sobbing, who did we break down with? A voice over a speaker is still better than nothing. Having someone there to talk with you and help you get through your break down is almost as good as having the person sitting with you. Maybe better, because they can’t see you cry.
How did we get through hard times, when we were by ourselves without a friend to talk us through it? To verbally dry our tears and tell us everything will be better in the morning.
I’m sure we prayed a lot more.
People were working too hard to exist.
